…is priceless. Not what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. Not imaginary, but practical. Not based on fear, but on possibility. Not designed to make you feel better, designed to make you better.

Seek it out and embrace the true friends that care enough to risk sharing it.

The difference between a good PR/marketing agency and a great one is having the commitment, determination and emotional skills to give good advice.

It constantly astonishes me how many ‘professionals’ in this industry just want to give the patter that the client wants to hear.  They think, for some reason, that this keeps a client/agency relationship stronger.

Sure, we all want to be liked – that’s basic human instinct, but do you want to be liked for saying what you think is expected or what you know to be right.

And just as hard, do you want to be a client that expects the right answer or the client that is open enough to receive good advice, despite the bitter taste it may come with?

What takes more guts — giving it or getting it?

What do you think?
